Inside Bellingen's vintage motorcycle museum
Macleay's Machines of Distinction boasts a collection put together over more than 40 years.

Just along High Street, Bellingen, sits the charming shopfront of Macleay’s Machines of Distinction, a vintage motorcycle museum and gallery that opened in May, 2025.
Boasting an array of Triumph motorcycles, including multiple Bonneville models and a TR6 — which you might recognise as the bike Steve Mcqueen rode in The Great Escape — the museum and shop is open to the public.
Founder Macleay Connelly has been restoring Triumphs since 1982. The Mid North Coaster stopped by for a tour of the space and a peak at a bit of history.
