The Mid North Coaster’s pick of family-friendly events happening in November includes a fundraising auction, art exhibition tours for the little ones, and an afternoon of markets and DJs.

🟡 Auction

Items to be won and bought at the annual Dutch Auction hosted by Taree Quota Club, where all funds raised support local charities. Includes raffles and lucky door prizes.

Afternoon tea will be served.

🟡 Art

STILL: National Still Life Award 2025 is showing at Yarrila Arts and Museum (YAM) in Coffs Harbour until Sunday 9. During the month, YAM is also hosting free children’s trails, artmaking activities for all ages and a free wellbeing program.

The Teeny Tours, suggested for three to six-year-olds, are on every Friday during the school term, from 10-11am. The tours are free and include a new exhibition tour every week, artmaking, story time and creative play.

St Agnes Parish is holding a day for the community including live music, food, face painting and a petting zoo.

🟡  Film Screening

Bowraville Theatre is screening “Future Council”, a film about eight children on a road trip (in a school bus powered by biofuel) around Europe seeking solutions to environmental challenges, with “a mission to take the conversation from the streets into the boardrooms of the largest polluters and most influential companies”.

The Spring Fling is an afternoon of second-hand markets, local DJs and street food hosted by Archive. Feel free to bring a picnic rug and dance on the grass.
