🟡 Wildlife tour

Wildlife conservation organisation Aussie Ark will open its gates throughout January, offering visitors the chance to see Tasmanian Devils, Eastern Quolls, Koalas and other rare native species up close.

Visitors can enjoy a 2.5-hour guided tour through the Barrington Tops conservation facility, learning about Aussie Ark’s breeding and re-wilding programs while meeting animals in a natural habitat.

🟡 Day on the Green

Following Australia Day citizenship and awards ceremonies is the annual Day on the Green in Port Macquarie, including food and market stalls as well as live music for the whole family.

The Jetty Memorial Theatre in Coffs Harbour is hosting a Studio Ghibli film festival over two days, including “Arrietty”, “Laputa: Castle in the Sky”, “Kiki’s Delivery Service”, and “Howl’s Moving Castle.”

A family-friendly pool party at multiple pools across the Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA. Cool off, enjoy a free sausage sizzle, and some poolside games.
