🟡 Youth Week
NSW Youth Week is from April 16-26.
There are plenty of free, family-friendly activities for young people across the region, from workshops, performances, and art.
For example: Youthfest is at Jetty Beach Park in Coffs Harbour on Thursday 16 between 1pm and 6.30pm.
It’s a free community event for all ages and includes live music, arts and crafts, games for the kids, competitions and prizes. In the afternoon winners in the Coffs Coast Youth Awards will be announced.

🟡Lego Movie screenings

The Jetty Memorial Theatre is hosting school holidays screenings of The Lego Movie (2014) and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019).
Make a day of it on Thursday 16 with part one showing at 11am and part two at 2pm.

🟡 Sprouts Art Sessions

Back for the school holidays are the hands on Sprouts Glasshouse creative workshops where little ones make seascape dioramas and mobiles with local artists.
Designed for ages 4 to 9, parents can join for free.

🕙 10am – 11am and 3pm – 4pm on both days

🟡 Free bike repair sessions
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is hosting three rapid repair sessions across the LGA where young people can get their bikes up to scratch for free.
Experts will give bicycles a quick spruce to fix squeaky breaks and flat tyres, and a once over safety check.

🟡 The Kempsey Show

The Kempsey Show began in 1881 and in 2026 celebrates and showcases the region’s agriculture industry and local talent with equestrian events, competitions, exhibitors and trade sites.
The 2026 theme is Macleay’s Flora and Fauna.
