🟡 Chilli Festival Sawtell

An annual celebration of all things spice along picturesque First Avenue in Sawtell, featuring more than 100 exhibitors, food vendors, stallholders, cafes, bars and restaurants.

The festival this year includes the Aussie Chilli Championship and a chilli chicken wing competition.

🟡 Glenreagh Timber Festival

The festival celebrates the region’s timber industry history, offering wood chop events, live music, steam engine and vintage machinery displays, market stalls, food trucks and encounters with working animals.

🟡 Winter Blues Festival

Urunga’s Ocean View Hotel hosts a Winter Blues Festival from 3-10pm on Saturday July 11, featuring Pop Standen, Nathan Beretta and Boss Stomp.

There will be a mechanical bull, market stalls, motorcycle show and smoked meats.

🟡 Encountering The Self Exhibition


A solo exhibition by Dubravka Sabljak featuring sculpture and mixed media works will open at Bellingen’s Nexus Gallery on July 19. 

The collection is described by the artist as a “playful, honest and sometimes wonderfully chaotic exploration of creativity, identity and the many characters that live within us all”.

🟡 Logger Heads Malibu Classic

The vintage surfboard competition has been running annually on the Mid North Coast since 1986.

Three days of surfing action at Scotts Head, drawing longboard enthusiasts from across the country and beyond.

🟡 National Tree Day Community Planting


This hands-on event at Bunderra Reserve, Beechwood, will see Hastings Landcare and locals plant more than 150 native trees and shrubs and 230 grasses, to support habitat regeneration and improve the health of the reserve.

Learn about resilience and local sustainability projects at the Our Sustainable Future Expo held at Unkya Reserve, Eungai Creek. 

The family-friendly day out will include a kids area and activities, and presentations on “Local Food Matters”, “All Things Solar and Electric” and “Saving Money in 2026”. 

Enjoy demonstrations of fermenting, composting, basketweaving, food growing techniques and more. 

Presenters include actress and farmer Rachel Ward and former ABC weatherman Graham Creed.

🟡 Boss Stomp Regional Ram-Page Tour

🟡 Travellin’ North with a Song

The Manning Valley Choral Society turns 40 this year. To celebrate, they have been invited to sing as part of the Sydney Male Choir’s regional tour, “Travellin’ North with a Song”, at the Manning Entertainment Centre.

The renowned Sydney Male Choir will bring their rich harmonies and powerhouse vocals to a concert filled with music from the shows, movies, and opera.

From the Beatles and Billy Joel to Peter Allen and more, they’ll deliver a dynamic celebration of timeless favourites.

🟡 Winter Solstice Family Festival

Celebrate the shortest day of the year with a fun-filled afternoon for all ages.

Enjoy classic games, jumping castles, face painting, a reptile display, live music, dancers, community stalls, food, and more.

As the sun sets, experience the magic of fire twirlers, a lantern parade, and a spectacular bonfire to light up the night. 

This is a “no cost–low cost” event, making it accessible for everyone in the community.
